Lisa and the munchkin

Lisa carrying 15 pounds of munchkin!

I’m a writer and (temporarily) ex-librarian, currently staying at home with a book-devouring, non-napping munchkin.  I love reading, writing, discussing reading and writing, (Heads up! Nerd alert!) organizing books, visiting historical sites (real or virtual) and museums, evaluating chocolates and lattes (feel free to provide samples), being outdoors.  Gimme Gothic, Celtic, British, Nautical, as well as great explorations gone horribly awry and descended into misery & cannibalism.  (Franklin Expedition, anyone?)  If my wrist will ever allow it again, I hope to have some tennis in my future.  Goals?:  See Ireland, Spain, eastern Europe, and Australia.  (I appreciate my Kansas City home, but sometimes a midwesterner needs a change of scenery!)  Learn to play hammered dulcimer and violin.  Learn to sew and decorate cupcakes.  Win the Lotto and open a dog sanctuary in the nearby countryside.  Create a fairy garden in the yard.  Figure out how to make a great latte at home with a crummy $30 machine.  Oh, yeah.  And do some more writing while I’m at it!  Because what else should an English major with a Master’s degree in Library Science and an employment background as a children’s librarian, a YA librarian, and an adult services librarian do?  I mean, really!
